I personally just go outside. Gym is OK to stay fit, but going outside has a different connotation and effect on you, take your car, train, whatever, and go to the nearby wooded area, I guarantee some motivation will come back. You need to stop running to tie your shoes, telling people to keep walking(but less) whilst trying to tie their shoes will lead to confusion and badly tied shoes that will only slow down any future steps.
